Running Komodo IDE Database Explorer with MAMP
Komodo's Database Explorer is pretty cool. You can access your databases, view table schemas, run queries etc right from the IDE. No need to run a separate app or access your databases on the command line.
However, it becomes a bit more tricky when using MAMP. This is because mysql.sock is not in its usual place, so Komodo doesn't know where to look for it. All you need to do is add the path to MAMP's mysql.socket when adding the new database.
