Site Redesign

I thought it was about time I redesigned this site, after sporting a contributed Drupal theme for far too long. I built the new theme from scratch. I was keen to keep the site simple, with minimal colour and a strong head section. It is a CSS only layout, with the left navigation bar coming after the main content in the HTML, which is good SEO practice.

The old navigation bar has been replaced with a category cloud. The idea behind category clouds (otherwise known as tag clouds), is that the bigger the word, the more entries there are for that category. So you can see at a glance which categories are the main ones.

I will be developing the theme further in the coming weeks, as I have not had the time to fully complete it. I will hopefully release it, or a variation of it, to the Drupal community in due course.
